Privacy Policy

Dear User,

We wish to inform you with the utmost transparency about the processing of your personal data. This notice describes how the data you voluntarily provide by filling out the contact form ("form") on this website will be managed.

1. What is Novolegal?

Novolegal is a team of independent lawyers who entered into a network agreement under Article 12 of Law no. 81 of May 22, 2017, and who share the same office and brand in order to offer clients integrated expertise across various fields of law.

2. Data Controller

For the processing of personal data collected exclusively through the 'novolegal.it' website, the Data Controller, as the owner of the 'novolegal.it' domain, is Avv. Stefano Brustia, with a law office at Via Crescenzio 58 - 00193 Rome, Italy, Certified E-mail (PEC): stefanobrustia@ordineavvocatiroma.org, e-mail: stefano.brustia@novolegal.it.

3. Type of Data Collected

We will only collect the personal data you enter into the contact form, such as: (i) first and last name; (ii) email address; (iii) phone number; (iv) any other information you choose to share in the body of the message to describe your request.

4. Purposes and Legal Basis of the Processing

The data you provide will be used for this sole and specific purpose: to follow up on your contact request for informational purposes and/or for a preliminary assessment of the case for which you are seeking assistance. The processing is therefore necessary for the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your explicit request (pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR). Your data will not be used for marketing purposes or other communications not relevant to your request.

5. Methods of Processing and Data Recipients

Processing will be carried out using IT tools suitable for ensuring data security and confidentiality. To best manage your request, the data you provide may be shared with one or more lawyers who are part of the Novolegal network (listed on the dedicated page of the 'novolegal.it' website), based on the specific expertise required for the case. These professionals act as independent data controllers for the processing phases within their purview and are contractually bound to comply with privacy regulations and confidentiality obligations.

6. Future Developments of the Relationship

As initiated by your request, our process involves two distinct phases:

(1) Initial Contact: We will use the data from the form to contact you and understand your needs.

(2) Engagement Proposal: If the possibility of establishing a professional relationship arises, the network lawyer who will handle your case will separately send you a written fee proposal, accompanied by their own specific privacy notice, which will detail the methods and purposes of processing your data within the scope of the legal engagement.

7. Retention Period

The data collected through the contact form will be stored for the time strictly necessary to manage your request. If the initial contact does not lead to the establishment of a professional relationship, your data will be deleted within 90 days.

8. Nature of Data Provision

The provision of data is optional but necessary for us to contact you and respond to your request.

9. Rights of the Data Subject

At any time, you may exercise your rights under Articles 15 et seq. of the GDPR, including the right of access, rectification, erasure of data, and restriction of processing. To exercise these rights, you can send a communication to Avv. Stefano Brustia at the contact details provided in point 2. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Supervisory Authority (the Italian Data Protection Authority - Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali).
